Place your ZILK Sleep pillowcase, sleep mask, bonnet or scrunchies inside the bag before machine washing. Select a delicate cycle with cool water and a gentle detergent. Air dry flat after washing. The bag is reusable and can be washed alongside your silk.
Machine washing without a protective bag exposes delicate silk to friction, snags and stretching that degrade the fabric over time. The fine mesh creates a barrier that keeps your silk moving gently through the cycle, preserving its smoothness and extending its lifespan wash after wash.

ZILK silk was washed 20 times, then tested by SGS. The result: its silver-ion technology still inhibits the growth of bacteria on the fabric surface.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I wash multiple items together?
Yes, as long as the bag closes fully and items have room to move. Overfilling reduces the protective effect.
What wash settings should I use?
Delicate cycle, cool water, gentle or silk-specific detergent. Avoid hot water and high spin speeds as these can damage silk fibers.
Can the bag itself go in the dryer?
Air dry is recommended for both the bag and your silk pieces. Heat can degrade the mesh over time.
