Every ZILK piece is designed to bring calm, comfort, and care into your daily rituals — from the way you wind down at night to how you wake restored in the morning. With mindful care, your silk will stay smooth, strong, and soothing for years to come.
Washing
Hand wash for best results
Use cold or lukewarm water with a pH-neutral detergent made for silk or delicates. Gently swirl, soak for a few minutes, and avoid wringing or twisting.
Machine wash (for everyday ease)
If you prefer the convenience of a machine, place your items in a mesh laundry bag and wash on the delicate or silk cycle with like colors. Use cold water and a silk-safe detergent.
Skip harsh chemicals
Bleach, brighteners, and fabric softeners can break down silk fibers and dull their natural sheen — avoid them to preserve softness and strength.
Drying
Air dry only
After washing, press out excess water with a clean towel. Lay flat or hang to dry, away from direct sunlight and heat.
Avoid tumble drying — heat can weaken silk and reduce its natural elasticity.
Ironing + Steaming
Cool care for a smooth finish
If needed, iron on the lowest setting while the fabric is slightly damp, or use a steamer to refresh without contact. Always turn inside out or use a pressing cloth for protection.
Storage
Keep it calm and breathable
Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Avoid sharp folds or compression to maintain the silk’s drape and luster.
Product-Specific Tips
Pillowcases, sheets + duvets
Machine washable in a mesh bag; air dry only. A steamer helps maintain smoothness.
Sleep masks
Hand wash gently for best longevity. Avoid twisting elastic or heat drying.
Scrunchies + bonnets
Hand wash in cold water and lay flat or hang to dry.
Sleep kits
Wash each item as above — pillowcase and scrunchies may be machine washed in a mesh bag; mask by hand.
